Nigerian singer Seyi Shay fell on stage while performing her hit track, ‘YOLO YOLO’ at the just concluded AFRIMA 2017 event which held on Sunday at the Eko Hotel Convention Centre, Lagos.
The accident occurred while the 31-year-old singer was dancing barefooted on the stage.
Seyi Shay is however not the first ever Nigerian celeb to fall off stage while performing.
In a period of 5 years, we can recall 6 Nigerian celebs that fell off stage during their performance at different shows.
Let’s trace it back to December 2012 when Burna Boy fell off stage during his performance at the Headies.
How can we forget former DB records act and Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh’s epic fall at Iyanya’s London Concert in 2013 while she was performing her debut single ‘High’ – she looked ‘High’ as seen in the video.

Denrele Edun fell off stage while hosting the Tres Bien Events in Port Harcourt.
Then in 2014, one half of Psquare, Peter Okoye also fell off stage during his performance at Beat Fm Tripple 9 concert in Lagos, luckily he wasn’t injured as he got up to continue his performance.
In 2014 as well, Chocolate City singer Ruby Gyang recorded an epic fall during her performance at the One Mic Naija concert in Lagos.
The ‘Gbera’ singer known for his infectious energy came nothing short of that at last year’s edition of DJ Jimmy Jatt’s “Jump off” ”Mainland Invasion” concert.
However, that got the best of him as the street hop singer in a momentary loss of concentration lost his footing, falling awkwardly off the stage while performing his hit song ‘Mosquito’.
